Het Ballonnetje translates in English as “The Balloon”, and it’s a beautiful, cosy coffeeshop located right in front of the UVA – University of Amsterdam. We’re actually one of the oldest coffeeshops in the city, first opening our doors in 1978 and regarded all over the world as one of the best Coffeeshops in Amsterdam.

For a coffeeshop that is frequented highly by locals, our menu selection tends to be more contemporary than you’d probably expect. Het Ballonnetje is famous all over the globe as the home of Super Orange Glue, Holy Moment and Beachfront, but the menu contains a wide selection of some of the best cannabis flowers and hash in Amsterdam, including top-shelf Amnesia and G13 Mr Nice highly sought-after in the city. The staff at Het Ballonnetje are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all products, we are a speciality weed shop but our hashish side is quite robust as well. In addition, we have a large list of pre-rolled joints, as well as some Chocolate or Vanilla Space Cakes for edibles.
